Cycle touring on the banks of the Seine

The banks of the Seine in Melun are a bit of a cyclist's paradise!

This historic town offers an ideal starting point for charming bike rides. The area's real draw is the majestic Seine River, which winds its way through the landscape in spectacular curves.

What's really cool is the "La Seine à Vélo" route that's being developed in the area. You can cycle along the banks in complete tranquility, with well-maintained paths that take you all the way to Seine-Port . For a guaranteed nature break, the Cesson-la-Forêt Urban Park is a perfect spot to catch your breath in a green setting.

Along the way, you'll admire stunning castles that tell the story of the region. The trails are fairly flat, so you don't need to be a champion to enjoy them—although e-bikes are still a great option for longer rides!

For those who like to combine walking and culture, the area is dotted with small heritage treasures. Between two pedal strokes, you can stop in the typical villages of Seine-et-Marne, with their lively village squares and welcoming little cafés.

Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll with the family or a sporty outing with friends, there's plenty to do! And with the new cycle paths being developed, it's becoming easier and easier to get around safely.
